Today we are going desi! Since we are smack dab in the middle of the tropical
heat, I have decided to wear clothing which is traditionally ‘cooler’. Literally. I’m
wearing a traditional outfit that is guaranteed to keep you looking cool and
feeling the same. The days are getting sunnier by the passing weeks and the heat
is also increasing proportionately so I hope all of you are hydrating continuously
(slight hypocrisy, considering the fact that my father gets tired of reminding me
to have water).
So to begin with, you can see me wearing a short kurti with a Phulkaari (which is
from Patiala, all thanks to one of my close friend) and a Patiala (not the place, but
the salwar I’m wearing). My main focus for today is on the Phulkaari chunni and so
in order to make it the hero of the outfit, I decided to go with a kurti which is
simple yet elegant and brings out the most of the Phulkaari. The Phulkaari, I find is
particularly interesting because I strongly believe that it makes any outfit go
from 0-100 the instant it is worn. It is something that can be easily paired with
any suit. For nighttime parties, just simply pair it up with darker tones and for
daytime parties, pair it up with suits of lighter shades. But don’t worry about it
bringing down your overall look!
I hope you all consider spending in a Phulkaari chunni. Trust me, its worth the
investment. If you have a friend from Patiala or in Punjab or anyone who plans
on visiting Punjab, I strongly recommend you to tell them to get you one (and
one for themselves).
Thank you so much for finding time to read my post and supporting me. Please comment, like, share and spread the word about my blog if you liked it! All recommendations regarding how I can be better with this are more than welcome! I hope you guys have an amazing day.
