Hey guys,
I just love the month of October. It's all so beautiful with the festive season and the oh-so lovely weather.
With Diwali around the corner and the wedding season ahead, I thought about doing a festive look.
I am wearing a cold shoulder maroon crop top with a golden lehenga. I wanted to go for a fusion look as the colours chosen by me are already bright and festive. And, golden has always been my favourite and it also an cliche for festive season. Maroon is just the best colour for any festival as it is obviously considered auspicious but also makes you stand out. I love the combination of maroon with golden, it has been really big this season. Cold shoulders have also been highly in fashion, so I thought why not incorporate it in a festive look. It also add edginess to the look while the skirt is elegant and speaks for itself. As this was supposed to be a fusion look, I have not worn a dupatta. I'm wearing golden stilettos which goes with the look. The make up is kept all shiny yet minimalistic. The whole outfit has been designed by me and was stitched at a boutique close to my place.
Lastly, I want to mention that we should celebrate a noise and pollution free Diwali. With the Festival of Lights round the corner there is promise of fun and laughter. But in the midst of all that, do keep in mind the fragile state of the earth and also those less privileged than yourself. For most people lighting of firecrackers is the highlight of Diwali. Brighter the sparkles, louder the noise the greater the thrill!! In fact to many of us, these aesthetic forms of light seem so appropriate and most essential when celebrating the 'Festival of Lights'.
But little do people realize that in our increasingly populated and polluted cities, the temporary joy of watching the firecrackers is soon replaced by the intense air and noise pollution caused by these. Celebrate a safe Diwali this year.
